CoolSculpting vs. Zerona

CoolSculpting vs. ZeronaAccumulation of stubborn fat deposits in certain areas of the body such as the thighs, hips, abdomen, back, upper arms, calves, and chin is a common problem. Every year millions of women and men in the US seek cosmetic solutions to improve their body contours. One of the most effective and popular non-invasive treatments available today is CoolSculpting.

Another non-surgical procedure that the patients may consider is Zerona. These procedures can help a patient lose fat without surgery. Both CoolSculpting and Zerona are quite different in terms of their fat reduction approach, and the patient can make an informed choice in consultation with their treatment provider. Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Motykie provides body contouring procedures to patients in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Los Angeles CA, and surrounding communities.

CoolSculpting

CoolSculpting has revolutionized the field of non-surgical body contouring because of its unique cooling process that is designed to freeze the fat away and restore more even and desirable contours. CoolSculpting involves a process called cryolipolysis. CoolSculpting treatment approach was developed by Harvard scientists, and it has continued to be the first choice for many body contouring patients ever since its introduction.

CoolSculpting causes the targeted fat cells to become frozen, and eventually die. The procedure is precise, and does not cause any harm to the surrounding healthy tissue and skin. The unwanted, frozen fat cells get disintegrated and gradually get eliminated from the body system in a natural way. Patients can expect to lose fat and see substantial results in about two months. Dr. Motykie receives patients from Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Los Angeles CA, and nearby areas for CoolSculpting.

CoolSculpting FAQ

Zerona

Zerona employs a low level laser technology that is designed to liquefy and shrink the targeted fat cells. It is important to have regularity and commitment to achieve desirable results with Zerona treatment. For about 15 days, the patient must visit the treatment center every other day to receive a 40-minute treatment session. Even if a single treatment session is missed, the patient bears the risk of jeopardizing the fat loss plan.

Distinction

Zerona is essentially a heat based technique to liquefy the fat. CoolSculpting, on the other hand, applies a radically different cooling principle to freeze the fat. While Zerona is typically a treatment plan involving at least nine treatment sessions, CoolSculpting is relatively simpler. The average patient will need only about two treatment sessions with CoolSculpting to achieve optimal results, depending on the area of concern.

In terms of costing, CoolSculpting may prove to be a more cost-effective treatment option because of the lesser number of treatment sessions involved. It will also save the time and effort of the patient. Results with CoolSculpting may get established gradually over several weeks, providing more natural looking transformation.

Zerona, on the other hand, is only designed to shrink the fat cells. Therefore, the results with Zerona may be seen faster. However, while CoolSculpting eliminates the fat cells completely, it may not be so with Zerona. As a result, the fat elimination with CoolSculpting is permanent in nature, and the fat cells which are removed will not return.
