Coolsculpting vs. Bodytite

Coolsculpting vs. BodytiteCoolSculpting and Bodytite are two of the more popular body contouring procedures today for people who want to lose fat without surgery. While both treatments will create fat reduction, the technique involved in each procedure is different.

Board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Motykie provides safe and proven body sculpting treatments to patients in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Los Angeles CA, and surrounding locations.

CoolSculpting

CoolSculpting procedure is designed to freeze the fat off, and restore more youthful and slimmer contours in the treated areas. Stubborn fat pockets in areas such as the abdomen, buttocks, thighs, flanks, breasts, upper arms and calves can be effectively treated with CoolSculpting.

The provider will use the FDA cleared CoolSculpting device over the targeted areas and expose them to controlled cold temperatures. The cooling process will destroy the fat cells, which will eventually exit from the body through the natural metabolic way.

CoolSculpting is ideal for people who have stable and moderate body weight, but are struggling with unsightly fat bulges in certain areas. Unlike most other body contouring procedures and surgery, CoolSculpting is a more conservative and safe way to reduce fat tissue. The procedure involves no cuts, incisions, needles, heating, or cellular extraction.

Bodytite

Bodytite is a unique process that harnesses thermal energy produced by radio frequency technique to eliminate unwanted fat deposits from targeted areas. Results with Bodytite can often be as good as liposuction surgery, but without the potential risks, discomfort and downtime that is usually associated with surgery.

Bodytite will also not leave any conspicuous scarring, while creating highly desirable body contouring results. The device is powered by Radio Frequency Assisted Lipolysis (RFAL) which performs a 3D remodeling of the affected sites. Bodytite is more suited for removing stubborn fats in areas such as the thighs, love handles and abdomen, where the fat tissue is often harder to treat.

Bodytite works on the liposuction surgery principle, but makes use of radio frequency (RF) energy to melt the fat. Once the fat cells are loosened and melted, the provider can easily remove it with a thin cannula. This ensures that the patient will experience minimal tissue trauma and reduced post-treatment inflammation, discomfort and downtime.

In addition to fat reduction, Bodytite procedure also works to tighten the loose skin and tissue in the treated areas. Controlled RF heat exposure in these areas will create tightening of the tissue from within. Results are more uniform looking because a larger surface area can be treated at one time.

Which Treatment is Better?

Both CoolSculpting and Bodytite offer their own advantages, and patients can choose the more appropriate procedure according to their personal aesthetic goals and body condition. The treatment provider will help the patient determine the right choice for them.

In general, Bodytite could be more suitable where the patient needs both fat reduction and toning up of the loose skin, while being willing to undergo a relatively more intensive treatment. CoolSculpting, on the other hand, is an excellent choice for patients seeking fat reduction in a completely non-invasive manner.
