For several years now, CoolSculpting has ranked among the most sought-after non-invasive body sculpting procedures in the US. CoolSculpting enables a patient to lose fat without a single cut or incision or causing any damage to the skin.
During the initial consultation, the treatment provider will discuss the steps involved in CoolSculpting process.
Although the CoolSculpting technology is path-breaking, the procedure itself is fairly straightforward. The patient should make a final choice after carefully understanding the procedure and evaluating their options. Fantastic, salient, and board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Gary Motykie provides CoolSculpting to patients in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Los Angeles CA, and other cities and towns in this part of California
Initial Consultation
A detailed one-on-one consultation with the CoolSculpting clinician will be the first step in the CoolSculpting procedure. The expert will explain to the patient how CoolSculpting will freeze the fat off to eliminate unwanted fat cells, and create slimmer body contours in the treated areas. Together with the patient, they will identify the targeted areas where fat elimination with CoolSculpting will help.
Treatment Session
One treatment session of CoolSculpting may last for about 45 minutes. Most patients may require three to six treatment sessions spread over several weeks to achieve optimal results. The patient will be made to comfortably sit in a recliner during the treatment session. No anesthesia will be required. The patient can take a short nap or stay awake and read a book or use a mobile device to relax if they want.
Procedure
Once the treatment provider has marked the area to be treated during a particular session, the CoolSculpting device will be placed over the area to apply controlled cooling. The application will include a gel pad and a specialized applicator. Vacuum applicators will be used to draw the tissue into the applicator cup. The applicator will be secured to the treatment site and deliver focused cooling to the stubborn fat tissue in the marked area.
The cooling focus will be precise and will not affect the surrounding healthy tissue. The patient may initially feel intensely cold, but this feeling will quickly subside as the treated area starts becoming numb. Mild pinching, pulling or tugging in the treated area may be felt because of the vacuum process to draw fatty tissue to the applicator cup.
Innovative Applicators
CoolMini applicator is now available to eliminate stubborn fat pockets in hard to reach areas such as below the chin. If the treatment provider’s office is equipped with the full range of CoolSculpting applicators, they can treat even such areas that may not be treated with the traditional CoolSculpting vacuum based applicator.
With an advanced CoolSmooth applicator tip, it is now possible to eliminate fat cells even in areas that are not ‘pinchable’. For instance, if the patient wants to enhance the contour in an area such as the outer thigh, which may have a thin layer of cellulite, the applicator tip can simply be run over the affected area to achieve the desired smooth contour.
